Iron every seam before moving to the next one as you sew. 2. Iron your costume/cosplay before you wear it, every time. 3. Hem & trim stray threads to keep the look clean. 4. Remove your badge for masqurade, fashion show or photos. 5. Use the shower to wash anything that you can, hang it up to dry in the bathroom and use the hair dryer to dry it if it needs it. Hang it up if it’s just a little dirty and spray with fabreeze before wearing the next day. 6. Pick up a can of antibacterial spray and liberaly spray down the inside of costumes as soon as you take it off and hang it so it dry’s completely. This is a tip I picked up from fur suit costumers to use on mascot type costumes. 7. "Wash yourself twice as much as your costumes, you are the cause afterall." (Stillman Blades) |
